We are using blood transfusions more and more frequently and the technique has undoubtedly saved lives. However at the present time long term storage is not possible so we need a constant “living bank”. If your dog is over 20 kilos, over 1 year old and fit and healthy and you would like to register him/her as a donor please sign the form in the waiting room or see reception.
Acupuncture
We are aware of the growing use of alternative therapies in both medical and veterinary care and recognise in acupuncture, a system that does bring benefit to some patients.
Micaela Wright has a developing interest in this field and can offer acupuncture consultations and sessions. Please ask reception if you wish to discuss this alternative method of treatment with her. Our vets will recommend this line of treatment if we think it beneficial.
