After deciding on a career change, I started working in a mixed veterinary practice in 1996 on a voluntary basis, which led to permanent employment a year later. After attending college I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2000. I came to work at Stanhope Park in November 2002. The job is very rewarding and I particularly enjoy assisting with surgical procedures and running our obesity clinics. I’m really delighted with the results enthusiastic owners have achieved in this important aspect of healthcare. If you think your pet would benefit please ring me at the practice or send me an email. I also find animal welfare very interesting. My goals are to further my knowledge in animal nutrition, surgical nursing and also emergency and critical care. I am married with a daughter and have a Jack Russell terrier called Scooby.
Kathryn Skidmore, Veterinary Nurse
I joined the practice in November 2006 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in February 2007. I am looking forward to developing my nursing clinics at Stanhope Park in the very near future. At home a lot of my time is spent looking after my 2 year old Border Terrier ‘Maisie’..
