I joined the practice in December 2001 after completing my work placement here whilst studying for a National Diploma in Animal Care at Houghall College. I am currently starting my portfolio work towards my Veterinary Nurse training, and hope to start my college placement this year. I am involved in many aspects of the hospital, including monitoring patients pre- and post-operatively, general nursing, reception duties and overnight oncalls. I love working with animals and find my job satisfying and rewarding.
Krissie Raine, Auxiliary Nurse
I have been at Stanhope Park for 8 months. I love working here, all the staff have made me very welcome and I really enjoy being part of the team. I’ve previously worked in animal rescue and rehoming centres which I really enjoyed, but I find the work at the practice much more of a challenge. I assist in everything - from helping to set up operating theatres to looking after the animals from arrival until going home. Animal welfare is very important to me, so I help to provide the individual care each animal needs to make their stay with us as comfortable as possible. The job is so rewarding! I look forward to seeing which animals come in each day - there are always some real characters!
